Broke under the cradle where it it attaches to the post the very first day it was used in my 2018 Ram 1500. I had one in the truck when I got it and lasted a year which that one broke at the base probablydue to over use no doubt. Same exact setup.

Love that we have multiple options to use to mount. The aluminum rod is pretty stiff and seems that it will stay in place once position where you want it it’s winter time so hopefully it stays stiff even on an 80° day but I absolutely love it we’re ordering more for our fleet
